The termination of policy supports has effect on 22.7% of companies -- Over 70% of the affected companies assume the effect will continue longer than half a year -- Introduction The eco-car subsidy that began to accept applications on June 19, 2009, ended on September 7, 2010. In addition to this, a series of policy supports are scheduled to end; the expansion of tax-free gift before death for financing home purchases will expire in December 2010, and so will the home electronics eco-point system as well the Comprehensive Measures to Facilitate Financing for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises (SMEs), etc. in March 2011. Teikoku Databank conducted a survey on effect on companies by the termination of policy supports. Research Period: September 16 to 30, 2010 Research Subject: 22,707 corporations across the nation Valid Responses: 11,349 (response rate 50.0%) Results of the Research The termination of policy supports “has effect” on 22.7% of companies The survey asked whether or not the termination of policy supports including the eco-car subsidy, home electronics eco point system, expansion of tax-free gifts before death, would have effect on the company. 27.5% of companies assume the effect by the end of policy supports will continue for a year while 27.4% assume half a year The survey asked 2,581 companies that answered “has effect”on them how long the effect will last.
