Teikoku Databank, Ltd. launched the enterprise value evaluation service, "Value Express (hereinafter referred to as VE)" on August 28, 2006. The service, which was developed in conjunction with Quants Research Inc. (address: Minato-ku, Tokyo, president & rep. director: Hideki Iwatsuki), a provider of solutions using financial engineering, enables calculation of enterprise value of 150,000 companies across Japan. VE offers two types of services, namely "simulation for enterprise value evaluation" and "keyword search service (extraction of company list)." [Simulation for enterprise value evaluation] Besides evaluation of enterprise value of 150,000 or more listed and unlisted companies across the nation, the service allows you to simulate changes in enterprise value or stock value by varying indicative figures (sales growth rate, sales cost ratio, ratio of selling & administrative expenses to sales, rate of working capital increase to sales, business investment) on detailed analyses of own company, rivals, M&A targets, investment choices and loan customers. [Keyword search service] The service enables you to search for companies, including listing of M&A targets, investment choices and loan customers, without effort through entering keywords for sales, ordinary income, capital fund, number of employees, business value, enterprise value, stock value, EV/EBITDA, EV/sales ratio, interest-bearing debt/EBITDA ratio, debt-equity ratio, PER, PBR, and other financial ratio indicators, other than line of business and address. Based on data from the unconsolidated corporate financial file held by Teikoku Databank (COSMOS1: containing 3,200,000 terms worth account settlements of 560,000 companies), VE shows results of enterprise value evaluation of 15,000 or more listed and unlisted companies whose value can be calculated by using the discounted cash flow method, offers various search services, and provides simulation for the future.
