Announcing "SELECT" services and "OPTION" services for the new risk management indicator "Japanese Corporate Bankruptcy Prediction Models" (2003.8.18)


Teikoku Databank launched "SELECT" services and "OPTION" services for assessing "Japanese Corporate Bankruptcy Prediction Models" on August 19, 2003.

The "Japanese Corporate Bankruptcy Prediction Models" is based on TDB's Corporate Information Database and uses statistical models to predict bankruptcy risk during the next year, expressed between 0 and 100%.
With a new indicator obtained through the integration of TDB's unique research knowledge, extensive corporate database and statistical analysis technology, TDB offers a service lineup that meets the real needs of customers and supports reliable risk management.

[Features of Japanese Corporate Bankruptcy Prediction Models]
1. Highly accurate predictions even without financial statements
Probability values are calculated based on qualitative information of TDB's corporate credit reports
2. Customer monitoring function
Probability values are updated every month, accurately reflecting corporate changes.
3. For convenience purposes, probability values are also provided in grades of 1 to 10 (grading).
TDB will also provide probability grades (G1 to G10) calculated based on the Japanese Corporate Bankruptcy Prediction Models.

[Service Description]
1. "SELECT" Service
TDB provides probability values of specified company groups, starting from 500 companies.
2. "OPTION" Service
TDB provides probability values of individual companies (minimum 1 company), and can also offer corporate credit reports or SAFETY* together with the probability values.
*Available only in Japan

* TDB also offers a "full service" that provides Japanese Corporate Bankruptcy Prediction Models of all companies that can be subject to calculation.
*We also offer the freeware "Japanese Corporate Bankruptcy Prediction Models Browser" which supports more effective use of Japanese Corporate Bankruptcy Prediction Models.
