Teikoku Databank, Ltd. ("TDB") launched its "TDB Digital ID issuing service (SG)" that supports the "Tokyo Metropolitan Government Electronic Procurement System" in April 2003.
In Tokyo, starting this year, the procurement system will be promoting partial digitization, with the purpose of relieving corporate liability, enhancing efficiency and speeding up of procurement services, ensuring transparency and fairness of bidding processes, and increasing competitiveness. In the first year, part of large scale engineering works will be subject to electronic procurement, and subsequently, smaller works and goods procurement are also expected to implement digitization projects.
This service is a newly conceived service by TDB in anticipation of Tokyo's implementation of an electronic procurement system starting 2003 and is designated as the "Tokyo Metropolitan Government Procurement System-Designated Certificate Authority". Companies that are qualified to become Tokyo's bid participants can use this service and safely participate in a series of services related to Tokyo's electronic procurement system.
Through this service, TDB supports the promotion of Tokyo's electronic local administration, and will continue to actively work on the realization of electronic local administration of all areas nationwide.
