Available only in Japan
As an unbiased third party certificate authority, TDB issues an original "Digital Certificate", an online ID. This supports online business, protecting customers from risks of dealing with falsified data, spoofing, and peeping.

B to B

When conducting e-commerce over the web where you don't see your business partners, being able to confirm that they really exist or to judge that they are trustworthy enough becomes crucial.
Ever since the launch of its Certificate Authority in October 1999, TDB has been issuing the online ID "Digital Certificate (Client Certificate)" and has been providing storage services for electronic business documents. With the Law Concerning Electronic Signatures and Certification Services having gone into effect in April 2001, the "Digital Certificate" for self-identification purposes over the Internet is now a necessary tool for conducting online business transactions. TDB supports safe and secure electronic business transactions through the combination of reliability higher than any other companies and TDB's corporate codes, all based on 100 years of experience in the research business.

B to G

Ever since the law on the Law Concerning Electronic Signatures and Certification Services has gone into effect in 2001, digitization in various business scenes such as electronic bidding systems, electronic procurement systems, and electronic application procedures is rapidly spreading under the e-Japan Strategy. An electronic bidding system of all public works including those of local authorities is currently being planned for 2010, and starting 2003, all order submissions to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport are now subject to electronic bidding. Further spreading of electronic bidding in public offices and local authorities are expected. When using an electronic bidding system, a digital certificate is necessary to prevent troubles such as spoofing and data falsification. Ever since being entrusted in 2001 as a Certificate Authority with the certification business, TDB has been issuing Digital Certificates that combine safety and versatility, and strives to continue its efforts towards promoting IT in public offices and local authorities and further developing electronic business transactions.
